You have to sign up for their newsletter.

Posted by: Parallel on April 21, 2017

You have to LIKE their Facebook page in addition to signing up for their emails. Looks like once you're registered you don't have to come back daily to enter.

Contest girl? Are you on vacation? This is a sign up contest!Come on.Is your job that hard?

Posted by: george on April 22, 2017

George This is a free site that I got to tell you comes in very handy for all of us. Lots of hard work does go into this so we can all benefit. The odd thing doesn't bother me , it takes a lot of that time consuming search out of my contesting. Its up to us to make sure we are reading rules & regs .too. And politely letting the web site owner know if there is an error. Take Care & Best of Luck in your contesting!

Posted by: Angelehm on April 22, 2017

Well said Angelehm!

Posted by: lin13 on April 22, 2017

its up to each of us to read the rules and figure the contest out. if after doing that we have questions then we ask for help. is it that hard to figure thing out for yourself? contestgirl works hard to find the contest in the first place, lets be thankful

Posted by: anonymous on April 22, 2017

Hey George you got to be polite maybe she's under the weather. Spoken like a real man I presume.

Posted by: Lisa1954 on April 22, 2017

Well said Angelehm.

Posted by: paus on April 22, 2017

I don't see any rules but assume it's one time entry with 3 prizes awarded at end of April, May & June

Posted by: Tazo on April 22, 2017

. Limit one entry per person, per day. Only one e-mail address and account may be used to enter the Contest. Should duplicate entries be received, all such entries will be ineligible. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant, the entry will be de

Come on George! That's a very ungrateful comment you made to Contestgirl. She really doesn't owe us anything. The help she gives us is FREE.

Posted by: Dinny on April 22, 2017

George, we are a community that works together. Please act accordingly.

Posted by: kathydubreuil on April 23, 2017

I'm a little confused by this one. Clicking Enter takes me to the sign up page. I get no confirmation of having entered any contest.

Is this what everyone else sees? thanks

Posted by: beleroph on April 23, 2017

Kudos to Contest Girl for being the best site for contesting, anywhere.
I keep referring new people to CG because it's so great and it's nice to share.
Guess sometimes it takes new ppl a little time to catch on how and why this all works so well.

Posted by: anonymous on April 23, 2017

wow I'm more than a little disappointed at George's comment to ContestGirl and Linda - posting something like this is so very condescending - hopefully in real life George thinks first, as I wish he would have done before posting in this forum. I only speak for myself but I find that most comments are positive and appreciative of the work Linda and her husband put into ContestGirl!

Posted by: The3G1 on April 23, 2017

I don't see the rules. Can someone put a link to it here. Thanks

Posted by: pctek on April 23, 2017

It's not ContestGirl's fault this contest is poorly organized and Home Outfitters is not following their own rules.

"To enter the Contest, go to www.facebook.com/HomeOutfitters, Like us on Facebook, complete the online entry form, confirm compliance with the Official Rules by checking the appropriate box, and submit your entry. Limit one entry per person, per day."

Does anyone else have issues with the contestgirl page like I do? I recently added a contest to "My Contests" but it doesn't show up in my list. Yet when I go to the daily entries and find the contest it says that it's been added. I don't get it.

Posted by: kristif on April 23, 2017

There are some clarifications on their facebook page as others have the same questions we do.

"Home Outfitters Hi xxxx! You only have to be signed up for emails to enter (in addition to liking this page on Facebook). There are no other forms - so if you're signed up for emails, you're eligible to win"

"Sorry if the rules caused any confusion. You can enter by signing up for emails (once) and by liking us on Facebook. You can increase your chances by liking each of the patio contest posts. These will be posted on a weekly basis "

Hope this helps.

Posted by: beleroph on April 24, 2017

They seem to have fixed the confusion in their rules....3 draws - end of April, May & June from subscribers on record at draw date.

***TIP: If (like me) you don't like their incessant emails, sign up just before each drawing and unsubscribe just after - ie. at the end/beginning of each month

Posted by: Tazo on April 25, 2017

Also, perhaps now it would be best to move this one to Odd entry

Posted by: Tazo on April 25, 2017

its odd alright lol the more i try figure it out the more confused i get

I guess I should jump in here. This contest runs every single year. It is always a daily entry, always. We have had contestgirl people post wins in prior years. And like all contests, the reason for running ALL contests is to get exposure for the company. Most experienced contest people realize that contest marketing companies, the actual company, and contestgirl are run by human beings. Mistakes get made, both in the rules, and the posting of said contests by contest sites like contestgirl. A lot of contests are set up by people who have absolutely no idea how to run a contest, a huge majority of contests are run by unpaid university student interns, whose whole experience of contesting is the ballot box at the grocery stores for a free ham at Thanksgiving. I used to post more contesting info on the comment sites but have been a bit busy lately so newcomers to contestgirl might not recognize my posts. I used to comment a lot, but life gets busy sometimes. Anyway, those that remember me know that I always ask questions from companies when I win. I have been told over and over again that no one at the marketing end really cares if we overentry, either accidently or on purpose. their main goal is just to get people to like and share the social media sites of their company that they are doing the contest for. They just want 30 entries for a month long contest, they dont care when you enter, the timing etc., they dont care if you enter your spouse, your majority age kid, your grandma. they just have to prove that they got traffic and likes to their site. Linda does an amazing job for us listing all these great contests and boy are the rules complicated on some of the contests. If you see a problem then put up a message, I personally have entered contests daily when people post they think a contest is only once a week or once a month or single entry and have won entering daily. So that being said. if you like or love a contest, read the rules, make your own decision and enter as you wish, it doesnt matter what or how Linda posts or what other people interpret as the rules. Contesting is supposed to be fun, an opportunity to work at home and make money etc. Please dont bash Linda or the site, it is just a listing and a basic quick interpretation of the rules as she sees it. We dont pay for this site, and it is an amazing place to enjoy. I personally have won 9 trips on contestgirl in the last 10 years, thousands of dollars worth of prizes and have never spent a dime. Thank you Linda and family for all the hard work you put into this site.

Posted by: Shirley54 on April 26, 2017

Shirley54, I certainly hope you weren't referring to me on bashing the site. I was just wondering why some things happen and if happened to anyone else. Nobody bothered to answer me though.

Posted by: kristif on April 26, 2017

I am happy with Linda and her site. I read the rules myself for the contests. If it wasn't for this site, I would not have contests to enter. Thanks Linda.

Posted by: anonymous on April 27, 2017

http://homeoutfitters.com/patio-contest-rr/ link to rules posted on FB. One entry per period. This is odd

Posted by: Flo on April 27, 2017

no Kristif, there was a nasty remark by George earlier up on the comments that caught my eye. totally unacceptable.

Posted by: Shirley54 on April 27, 2017

Contestgirl: Just consider where George's comments are coming from. Some people like to spew thoughts that try and make them feel better. I for one appreciate all you do for us. You must spend many hours working on this site for no remuneration. Kudos to you and your family.

Posted by: Tweeky on April 28, 2017

George: Maybe you should go to another contesting site that meet your requirements or try setting up your own contest site

Posted by: tweeky on April 28, 2017

I'm going to post this to Odd Entry, as there is so much disagreement about how often you can enter. It would appear it's not a daily though.

And thanks for the kind words everyone. It doesn't really bother me when people like George get a little snarky, although I'm always a bit surprised because this is meant to be a fun website and I hope it puts people into a good mood.

Posted by: Contestgirl on April 28, 2017

Also, it's worth noting that whenever you don't like the frequency of entry category that I've put it into, you always have the option of adding the contest to your MyContests list as a Private contest and then choose your preferred frequency.

Posted by: Contestgirl on April 28, 2017

Limit one entry per person, contest period. Entries for the respective Monthly Contest Period must be received by no later than 11:59:59 PM ET on Sunday, April 30th, 2017; Wednesday, May 31th, 2017; and Friday, June 30th, 2017.
So, the way I read this is enter once per month. Good thing this was brought up as I was entering each day and probably have been disqualified for Aprils

Posted by: Cairine on April 28, 2017

I am glad this site is set up. I love entering the contests and this site makes it very easy to enter mulit contests on one site , and I would love to have some of Shirley54 good luck lol

Posted by: kimg on April 28, 2017

Linda, can this be moved to Monthly (entry period) now, it will get "Lost", in amongst the ODD entry category, as there are fewer monthly ones. I do seem to recall it's been a daily and also a monthly in years past. Wish they'd make up their minds!! Thanks !!

Posted by: Anne (Anon in Van) on April 29, 2017

OK, I moved it to monthly.

Posted by: Contestgirl on April 30, 2017

Oh, what some companies will do to get 'Liked'. Maybe they could start by running a contest that's not Mickey Mouse. I'm taking a pass and hope george wins so he can chill on the patio.

Posted by: wildthing58 on May 6, 2017

With all due respect to Contest girl who is about as kind and diplomatic as they come. Like she needs me to vouch for her character and her site.

Posted by: wildthing58 on May 6, 2017

Well there u have it folks...those of us that are grateful continue to receive blessings ....those that are not continue to receive more of the same....be thankful!
