LOL. Nah. I was in a great mood when I typed that. Just live near a bunch of middle aged pyros that think it's really cool to treat every summer weekend like the 4th of July. My dog, who's no longer with us, used to shake nonstop all night.

Fireworks are illegal in most cities, but people ignore the law b/c they know nothing will happen. Like shoplifting. Stores are closing as it's killing businesses. Sad.

Yep. I'm not one to call the police over fireworks, but I know they wouldn't respond to the call anyway. We made the mistake of visiting the beach a couple years ago around the 4th of July. Every night there were idiots on the beach lighting off fireworks as late as 3 am.

It's difficult to find a spot anywhere to spend July 4th if you're in an RV, much less a quiet place. Best to stay home and turn on some music to drown out the noise.

Our neighbors were drunk last year and throwing fireworks at each other and a younger child and then lit their garbage can on fire (after they had gone inside). I hate the 4th and the whole time leading up to and following it because of people like them.

Yes, fireworks celebrations are almost always combined with alcohol consumption. The ER is always busy with fireworks mishaps on the holiday.

Sad thing is they probably aren't even old enough to be drinking, but it's common, especially in tiny towns like this one.
Sweeps2021 don't I know it, my husband works in the hospital here doing xrays and mris and stuff he gets to see it all lol
