But the amount is not even!
I guess they feel like Canadians are worth less!
I don't like to see the disparities like such; for me they loose a lot of points in my books for doing that and I'm was a fan of their little potatoes so...

Canadians do not pay any taxes on winnings, plus 15 prizes per country is a bonus for Canadians.
