My essay didn t appear Togo through

Posted by: seadog on January 14, 2025

I completed it yesterday and it worked; you have to write an original essay and take a picture (make sure the file is less then 2mb).

Posted by: mattila87 on January 14, 2025

how do i make it less than 2mb?
i typed up a word document and printed it and took photo. should i use a smaller piece of paper ? or less words? or smaller font?

Posted by: seadog on January 14, 2025

in your camera settings, set to take a lower resolution picture.

Posted by: mattila87 on January 14, 2025

did you get a confirmation?

Posted by: seadog on January 14, 2025

yes, not by email after entering it showed "thank you for participating, you are now entered for a chance to win 25,000$ from the Bel Group Canada Inc"

Posted by: mattila87 on January 14, 2025

I had to reload the page if you added a file that exceeded 2mb; or click the "X" to delete the file that was too big.

1. Contest week is Monday to Sunday. ET

2. Only 1 entry form per week. Rules and form disagree. Form allows you to send a UNIQUE receipt with up to 4 products and you must put in the product names and UPCs in different fields. Rules say up to 5 products. You get the the corresponding number of entries per week as are validated on your receipt. Do they need to be different products? Who knows. (Maybe someone can find that buried in the rules)

3. If you do the NPN entry you will only get 1 entry for that week.

4. In both cases, you can only do the form once per week as either NPN or purchase. and the Receipt or Essay must be unique.

5. The contest certainly favours those who buy the maximum number or products per week! GLA

Posted by: 123ABC on January 14, 2025

In the No Purchase Entry option, you can add up to 4 UPC Codes to get for Additional entries, thus totalling five entries per week without purchase. And, there's no need to add the specified product names as that is for a purchase entries (note there is no *beside and it says purchased product) You omit that in the NO Purchase Entry.

Posted by: mattila87 on January 14, 2025

Without Purchase: For participation without purchase, simply go to the website, follow the procedure mentioned above (omitting the receipt photo), and write an original text of at least fifty (50) words (without using artificial intelligence). This text should be photographed and uploaded in the designated section, explaining why:

Why do Bel Group snacks seem perfect for family winter sports activities to you?

Limits: With Purchase. Each week, from Monday at 00:00 (ET) to Sunday at 23:59, submitting a purchase receipt will entitle you to one (1) entry. If the purchase receipt includes multiple participating products, the number of entries will equal the number of participating products listed on the receipt, up to a maximum of five (5) participating products per week. The same receipt cannot be used more than once during the Contest Period, whether by the same person or by anyone else.

Without Purchase: Submitting an original text will entitle you to one (1) entry. There is a limit of one (1) text submission per week (from Monday at 00:00 (ET) to Sunday at 23:59), and the same text cannot be submitted more than once during the entire Contest Period, whether by the same person or by anyone else. A participant may obtain an additional entry for each UPC code from participating products included in their non-purchase entry, up to a maximum of five (5) entries per submission per week.

For both purchase and non-purchase entries, if a participant attempts to obtain more entries than the specified number above, the Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, disqualify the participant from the Contest and cancel all of the participant's entries.

Posted by: mattila87 on January 14, 2025

I provided 3 Valid UPC Codes, so if anyone can add another one so that we can all enter the maximum entries for next weeks entries, it would be appreciated.

Posted by: mattila87 on January 14, 2025

Hope that helps & good luck!

Posted by: mattila87 on January 14, 2025

I guess my family will be enjoying those expensive little cheeses while we enjoy any winter activities.

Posted by: seadog on January 15, 2025

Thanks for the UPCs mattila87.

Posted by: SueA on January 15, 2025

You're very welcome SueA!

Posted by: mattila87 on January 15, 2025

Thanks for the correction. Sometimes it is very good to be wrong! Now for more coffee, a better brain, and new glasses to improve my analytical skills. LOL.

Posted by: 123ABC on January 15, 2025

You're welcome! Glad I could help clear things up. It's good to be wrong sometimes, especially when it gets you additional entries to win. It's always good to question, as the rules aren't always straightforward, so thanks for that and I can be wrong as well sometimes. More eyes on it benefits us all. Cheers! 123ABC, et un bon caf toi puis bonne chance!

Posted by: mattila87 on January 15, 2025

ment to say in french: and a good coffee to you but I forgot about the accents.

Posted by: mattila87 on January 15, 2025

Does it have to be hand written?

Posted by: sandyt on January 16, 2025

I can t get it to work, will try another day?

Posted by: sandyt on January 16, 2025

I did it by handwriting since I don't have a printer, and it's only 50 words minimum. It also looks less A.I.e in handwriting and I wanted to make sure that my entries would count. And you have to take a picture but maybe a screen capture would work as well. Although, the rules do says "write" and not "type" so maybe it has to be in handwriting. This one is a little overcomplicated and vague.

Posted by: mattila87 on January 16, 2025

From the rules - **The text must be written without the use of artificial intelligence. It must be handwritten, then photographed and uploaded in the designated section.

Posted by: miali1 on January 16, 2025

the word "handwritten" is not mentioned in the rules but "write".
Same in the french version of the rules rediger. That doesn't specify by hand.
Where did you see "handwritten" in the rules miali1 ?

Anyways good luck to y'all!

Posted by: mattila87 on January 16, 2025

I guess the safe bet is to do it in handwriting to be sure that it counts.

Posted by: mattila87 on January 16, 2025

*The text must be written without the use of artificial intelligence. It must be handwritten, then photographed and uploaded in the designated section.

I copied and pasted this from the entry form, says handwritten.

Posted by: rbruce on January 17, 2025

I saw the word handwritten as well

Posted by: seadog on January 17, 2025

Yes, the word handwritten is in the guidelines at the bottom of the entry form, in the second point below the bright red "Confirm My Participation" (Submit) button.

"**The text must be written without the use of artificial intelligence. It must be handwritten, then photographed and uploaded in the designated section."

Posted by: SueA on January 17, 2025

Any luck with the jpeg photo entry. Almost impossible to go sub 2mb. Never have a problem with other contests requiring a photo. Why do they make customers jump through hoops?

Posted by: wildthing58 on January 17, 2025

thanks for the clarification

here's some additional UPC Codes.

GoGoSqueeze 24 Pack 2.16kg Costco - 848860046246
Babybe Big Pack Regular Costco - 041757027414
Babybel Big Variety Pack Costco - 30737181206265

Posted by: mattila87 on January 17, 2025

they clearly want us to purchase.

Posted by: seadog on January 17, 2025

Ok I see it now on the entry page; I usually don't really pay attention to that and skip to the official rules of the contest and in those rules it is mentioned write and no mention of handwritten. However, like you pointed they do specify it on the entry page geeezzz. I hate it when there is disparities between the rule and the entry page.
I guess they sure like to see us jump through all these hoops for a chance at winning!

Posted by: mattila87 on January 17, 2025

Same here mattila87! And heaven forbid anyone should contact a contest administrator for clarification! To be fair, I have had the odd sensible response, but mostly, if they bother to answer me at all, it's a non-answer: complete non-sense, that doesn't answer the question I've asked. Arrrrggghhh! Ah, well, at least with this one we know we can just hand-write the essay and hope for the best. Good luck to you!

Posted by: SueA on January 17, 2025

i got this right away when i entered Thank you for participating!
You are now entered for a chance to win $25,000 from Groupe Bel Canada Inc. The Grand Prize draw will take place on February 28, 2025.

Posted by: tomgirl on January 18, 2025

i entered and did the story and I do not take pictures for this type of thing, i simply save it as a pdf file, and it saves it, i also use the hand written font , and you can change that for your own legit hand writing, but saving is easy and you do not have to have a printer or anything,

Posted by: tomgirl on January 18, 2025

Wow SueA congratulations on that Grand Prize Oreo win a while back ago! That sure is the dream winning the huge prize like that. I was wondering what was your Oreo Flavour creation? Best of luck as well!

Interesting tomgirl, I was wondering how to get it in pdf!

Have a nice day you all!

Posted by: mattila87 on January 18, 2025

Thanks mattila87. That particular contest required us to guess the new flavour of Oreo that had been released, base on clues they provided (mostly to do with history, as I recall). The flavour turned out to be "churro". I don't often buy packaged cookies, and those ones weren't even available in my area yet, so I just guessed based on the clues and on some comments here. Was very lucky!

Posted by: SueA on January 18, 2025

That's a 25K guess! Churro, great guess, I probably wouldn't have guessed that. Good thing you didn't get paid in cookies; although that sure is a lot of dough!
Oreo's got to be your favourite cookies! Cheers SueA :)

Posted by: mattila87 on January 19, 2025

LOL mattlia87!

Posted by: SueA on January 19, 2025

For people that have had difficulty with the file size requirement, mine was more than 2mb with a typical picture frame (3:4) but my camera app allows me to change the dimensions of my photo, and I changed it to the 1:1 dimensions (Instagram's original dimensions, if anyone recalls) for the second photo I took and it was below 2mb

Posted by: mtscanada on January 20, 2025

I'm kind of a techno-tard but I've made photo files smaller by emailing them to myself. No idea if that's going to work for everyone.

Whoever asked about submitting the essay photo as a jpeg, that's what I'm doing and it's working fine, but it sounds like tomgirl is able to submit hers as a pdf so maybe that's an option for you. Good luck!

Posted by: SueA on January 20, 2025

Trying to submit and not working. Anybody having issues?

Posted by: mattila87 on January 21, 2025

Finally went through, I think not all UPC codes are valid and that's why.
I WASTED AN HOUR+!!! They increased it to 3mb wow! I tried the pdf format but it wouldn't work but maybe it has to do with the UPC Codes not being valid.
I gave up the pdf to try with jpg and was able to get the file size down by cropping the picture and by just barely 2.92mb. I just got a new phone and there's no way to decrease the resolution. I was about to give up and trow this contest in the garbage!
BOOO BEL GROUP for wasting my time. And an extra Booooo for them extra wasting my time.

Here the UPC Code that worked only got 3 of them:

3073781112535,041757011413,041757011611

Hope that helps

Posted by: mattila87 on January 21, 2025

Also, don't use the Costco UPC codes that I posted earlier as they might not be working! Mautadit bel de...

Cheers

Posted by: mattila87 on January 21, 2025

here is another UPC: 3073781207484

For the picture size, you can always use an online tool to reduce its size... search for "compress picture"

Posted by: OmarBongo on January 22, 2025

thanks i will hand writ emine next time

Posted by: tomgirl on January 22, 2025

Aw, your efforts to find valid UPCs are appreciated by the rest of us mattila87 and everyone else who has share some. The very best of luck to you!

Posted by: SueA on January 22, 2025

Thanks for the nice words!

That's another great option OmarBongo, merci pour ton code aussi.

Anyways, next weeks entry should go a lot smoother for all of us!

Bonne journ e!

Posted by: mattila87 on January 22, 2025

I've had nothing but trouble entering both weeks, firstly with npe essay and this week with a receipt. Not convinced either went through. I emailed them with my concerns and they did get back to me. I provided them with further information and now, waiting their response. I'm finished with this one if I don't get a good response from them. Good luck everyone!

Posted by: seadog on January 23, 2025

Finally, no problems with my submission!

I sent it using pdf format, but that wasn't the issue. If you have problems submitting, like I had previously, it has to do with the UPC Codes. Finally, I got all the 4 additional.

You can use these one as they were all valid.

3073781112535,041757011413,041757011611,3073781020342

Cheers!

Posted by: mattila87 on January 28, 2025

Thanks mattila87! I've had no problem entering when using the UPC codes you've shared here. Your generousity and that of others sharing UPCs, code words and such is much appreciated. Good luck!

Posted by: SueA on January 29, 2025

Thanks for the nice words SueA :) of course, the credit is not all mine it's a collective efforts like OmarBongo who shared and others like your positive feedback that fuels us all in helping others and ourselves in the process at winning big.

De Levis, Quebec, jusqu' a toi SueA bonne soiree!

Checking the rules is a really good idea. Not sure if any of you entered the Bunkie Life contest. They drew a winner and she was disqualified because of her home state. Very sad for her and the Bunkie guy felt bad too. They redrew yesterday. I didn't win again but what a great guy.
